What is the Elements RV Cover?

No products found.

The Elements RV cover has a very appropriate name because it helps protect your RV from the elements when you’re not using it. More specifically, this RV cover helps guard your RV against UV rays, rain, sleet, snow, mold, and mildew.

That it protects against UV rays in the summer can help the paint last longer, and guarding it against precipitation in general guarantees it won’t require as much maintenance.

Additionally, the Elements RV cover is made of Poly-Oxford fabric. This makes it both very strong and incredibly light-weight, which makes it easier to install. We’ll discuss installation in greater detail in a moment.

Other Important Elements RV Cover Review Facts

Obviously, there’s much more to discuss in an Elements RV cover review. Here are a few more important facts that can help you make a decision.

What are its special features?

The Elements RV cover has a handful of special features that help it stand out from the competition. For example, this cover has plastic inserts on the front and rear cap fabric that helps it fit snugly over your RV.

On a similar note, there are also eight tie-down straps on the bottom to ensure a tight fit. These straps come with handy weights so you can get the straps to the other side of the vehicle without crawling underneath.

Also, the cover has vent flaps on the front, rear, and sides for additional ventilation. This is what helps it prevent mold and mildew. This cover also features two zipper panels that allow you to enter and exit the RV without taking the entire cover off.

How well does it protect your RV?

Of course, this is the main thing you want to know in an Elements RV cover review. After all, it’s not worth the investment if it doesn’t protect your RV.

Luckily, Elements works exactly as you would hope. Everyone who used this cover said it did an excellent job of keeping their RV in shape. Many people said their RV looked like it was still in perfect condition after unwrapping it. This is something you’ll often hear in any Elements RV cover review.

Unfortunately, there is one common complaint. The cover’s roof is made of a lighter material than the sides. As a result, it doesn’t hold up as well in extreme heat. Some people said the roof deteriorates when left in especially sunny conditions.

Is it difficult to install?

Let’s be brutally honest. No RV cover is necessarily easy to install. No matter what cover you choose, it’s going to involve a certain amount of labor.

That said, the Elements RV cover is pretty simple to install compared to most RV covers. The fact that it’s lighter than the average cover makes it much easier to install.

In fact, you can cover your RV in about 15 minutes, and a person can do it by himself if he chooses. Virtually every Elements RV cover review we researched mentioned how easy it is to install.

However, please make sure you cover any sharp edges on your vehicle before you install the cover. This will go a long way towards preventing rips and tears on your cover.

What do its customers think?

For the most part, customers were very happy with the Elements RV cover. It did an excellent job of protecting their vehicles, and they found it very convenient and easy to install. On top of all that, this cover is very reasonably priced compared to other RV covers.
However, there are a few common complaints. As we mentioned before, the roof can get damaged when it’s left in extremely sunny conditions.

Also, this cover is very prone to rips and tears. This is a very common problem you’ll see in any negative Elements RV cover review. Again, you can help prevent this by covering any sharp edges on your RV. Still, this is something that too many customers had to deal with.

How Does It Compare to Other RV Covers?

Of course, no good Elements RV cover review would be complete without mentioning the competition. There several other excellent RV covers on the market today. Let’s see how Elements measures up.

The KING BIRD Extra Thick 4-Ply RV Cover is another excellent choice when it comes to RV covers. This cover features an extra thick 4-ply top fabric and 3-ply sides. This helps protect your RV from UV rays, rain, snow, and other harmful weather. It’s also wind-resistant and anti-tear.

The reinforced straps are specifically made to protect against high winds. Additionally, this cover has six air vents on each side for extra ventilation. Zippered doors on each side also make it easy to access your vehicle without removing the cover.

Most customers said this cover is an excellent value for the price. Several said it did a great job of protecting their RV, even in extremely harsh winds. It’s also relatively easy to install, although it will probably take at least two people.

Unfortunately, some reviewers felt that the straps didn’t hold up very well. Many customers echoed this concern. Also, like the Elements RV cover, this cover tends to deteriorate under heavy UV exposure.

The cost of this cover is more or less the same as the Elements RV cover. The two covers are very similar in several other ways as well. With that in mind, it’s difficult to say that one outperforms the other in any significant way.

That said, the KING BIRD Extra Thick 4-Ply RV Cover seems especially resistant to heavy winds.
